All-22 Must Adds: Week 2
Offense
Mekhi Becton, G (PHI)
Mekhi Becton looks good in green. Well… Eagles green at least. Becton also looked very good in his debut at guard in Week 1, logging 82 snaps and posting an impressive pass-blocking grade of 80 with a run-blocking grade of 68.2. His overall PFF grade sits at 73.8, and Becton looks comfortable in his new role. With a Week 2 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, whose defense ranks poorly in pass rush and run defense, Becton could be a valuable addition for All-22 managers needing help on the offensive line.
Dominick Puni, G (SF)
In Week 1, Dominick Puni played 80 snaps and delivered a solid performance, earning a pass-blocking grade of 77.7 and a run-blocking grade of 74.6. His next opponent has a run defense grade of 91.4, but their pass rush is less formidable, with a grade of 59.6. Puni could be more of a long-term play rather than an immediate starter, but he’s worth stashing for future matchups.
Jameson Williams, WR (DET)
Jameson Williams is finally healthy and ready to deliver. Williams played 52 snaps in Week 1, earning an overall PFF grade of 83.4, with a receiving grade of 79.7. Williams and the Detroit Lions will face the Buccaneers in Week 2. As good as the Bucs looked in Week 1, their secondary only posted a 54.4 coverage grade. If anyone gave up on the oft-injured Jameson Williams in your league, now would be a good time to add him for both an immediate start and long-term value.
Defense
Jaylen Watson, CB (KC)
Jaylen Watson saw significant playing time in Week 1, with 83 snaps, earning a coverage grade of 65.6 and a run defense grade of 75.7. His overall PFF grade of 73.7 against a tough-to-defend Baltimore offense, coupled with a strong finish to his 2023 season, certainly catches my attention. This could be the start of Watson’s breakout campaign, so look for another solid performance from him against the Cincinnati Bengals’ struggling offense in Week 2.
Zack Baun, LB (PHI)
Zack Baun proved to be a key component of the Eagles’ defense, playing 70 snaps in Week 1 and recording a PFF grade of 76.2. In Baun’s first game as an Eagle, he showed off his versatility with strong grades in pass rush (77.9) and coverage (78.9). With a Week 2 matchup against the Falcons, who are still figuring it out on offense, Baun’s all-around ability to defend the run and rush the passer makes him a must-add for managers needing help at the linebacker position.
Nate landman, LB (ATL)
Nate Landman posted an elite run defense grade of 85.7 and a respectable coverage grade of 67.6 in Week 1. After posting an 81.8 overall PFF grade in Week 1, Landman will face an Eagle’s offense that posted weak team grades in both the passing game (55.4) and run game (53.7) against the Packers. All-22 fantasy managers looking for a high-upside linebacker may want to see if he’s available.
Mack Wilson, LB (ARZ)
My entire Linebacker room is composed of free agent pickups, so here’s another one for you. Mack Wilson had an outstanding overall performance in his first week as a Cardinal, highlighted by an elite 90.2 overall PFF grade, an 85.3 run defense grade, a 67.5 pass rush grade, and a 64.9 coverage grade. His Week 2 opponent, the Los Angeles Rams, has a passing game grade of just 42, a team run grade of 61.2, and a pass blocking grade of 53.3. If you have the roster space, it’s worth taking a flier on a LB capable of 90+ PFF grades.
